More Almost Fledges!

The Edgecomb kestrels continue their diligent work...


While the Highbridge Hawks are gaining size daily.

Up at Broadway Bridge, I witnessed an amazing sight...

a peregrine prey transfer!

The female then flew into the scrape,

where she was greeted by at least one nearly fledged young!

Thanks for the blog--great pictures. I live not far from the Broadway Bridge and saw a falcon there for the first time last weekend--after looking for a year.

It looks a lot like a blue jay... I think someone on flickr guessed that too.

Thanks for your comments. Beth, you should go check on those little guys in the coming days. Just wait for them to cry, mostly on the South Tower. Pho, it looks like a juvy blue jay to me .
