St. John Double Feeding
Definitely at least two in the nest...here's a video of dad taking out trash after first feeding and then flying in with another squab for the second chick.

Inwood Hill Spring 2013
Not a ton of activity but there were a few suprises.
First was a juvenile Cooper's hawk still lurking by the Henry Hudson Bridge. Its flyover sparked a mad rush of about 100 robins on the soccer fields.
Hawks are still on eggs.
No sign of Pileated. Many trees were freshly cut down and they have put down poison for the long horned beetle so Im guessing its moved on. I did see a few rectangular notches in the trees so I know they have been around for a bit.
Great Egret
FOS yellow warbler!
Nest break time over at Broadway Bridge.
Happy Earth Day!

Inside The Scrape
Really psyched with this video. Got the male preparing a young sparrow for the scrape. He subsequently delivers the prey, the female accepts and then the male flies out. This is my first video of any activity at all occuring within the scrape itself. Im sure as the young grow, they wont all be able to fit in there at once!

Wind Noise
I have to get a better filter...till then, just turn the volume down and check out new male bringing sticks to the nest. Also of note: at the end of the video the female's brooding position against the side wall of the creche illustrates why is so hard to see the young for some time.
