Crocuses, azalea buds, and elms are just budding. As for the birds, concensus is that 2006 nesting season has begun! The ESO's of W75th have two young and Lola has been observed sitting continuously on the nest. Also observed is nest construction by the CPS RTH's. Also nesting are the two GM peregines!
Here's PM flying off after delivering dinner.
The large female RTH continues to hunt Edgecomb Ave.
On the Lake were two wood ducks!
and on the Meer, this handsome couple.
But there are still mostly winterbirds at the feeders,
including this RBNuthatch waiting to eat some suet.
Goldies just begining to molt
juncos
Song Sparrows
and this grouping of MD, RWBBs and one grackle
and these white-throated sparrow were churning up the the leaf litter!
